Geothermal HVAC
Geothermal heat pumps use the Earth's natural temperature to exchange fluid through underground pipes that transfer energy from underground into the building and vice versa.
Insulation
For maximum energy efficiency, Net Zero is insulated with an interior envelope of Icynene closed-cell foam and an exterior layer of two-inch Styrofoam.
Electric Charging Station
Net Zero will have an electric car charging station to encourage use of environmentally friendly electric vehicles.

What Makes Net Zero Different
338 Net Zero Features
Zero annual electrical consumption
An Electric Car
Charging Station
For tenants and subscribers. When commuting across town, it makes sense to bring an electric car. We’ve got you covered.
Geothermal HVAC
Geothermal is an exciting but largely untapped renewable energy source that leverages the consistency of ground temperature for heating and cooling. Geothermal is a trend among large corporations and universities but remains rare for smaller buildings. 338 Net Zero will cover heating and cooling with three geothermal wells drilled on-site, an initial investment that will bring major cost savings in energy bills down the road. Combined with our highly efficient HVAC system. It is the most energy-efficient system available
Solar Panels
With roughly 600 square feet of solar panels, 338 Net Zero will serve as a model for the community–while saving on energy costs.
Insulation
Net Zero is insulated for maximum energy efficiency with an interior envelope of Icynene closed-cell foam and an exterior layer of two-inch Styrofoam. This combination provides an effective barrier to heat transfer, ensuring that the building stays cool in the summer and warm in the winter. In addition, the foam helps to minimize air leakage, further reducing the building's energy consumption.
All LED Electric
Fixtures
Light-Emitting Diodes (or LEDs) are here to stay. They use around half the electricity of outdated incandescent lights (which burn way too much energy-producing heat instead of light). LEDs are incredibly energy-efficient and easy to control both digitally and manually.
